Application Instructions

To apply for the 2026 Jonathan Williams Scholarship, please complete the following steps:

 

1. Download and Complete the Application

​

Fill out all sections of the scholarship application, including:

  • Contact Information

  • Academic Information

  • Community Involvement

  • Achievements & Awards

  • Post‑Secondary Plans

 

Be sure all fields are accurate and complete.

 

2. Write Your Essay

 

Prepare a minimum 1000‑word essay on the topic: “Why is a post-high school education important to me?”

​

Attach your essay as a separate document.

​

3. Gather Your Letters of Reference

​

Submit three (3) letters of reference:

  • One from a school counselor or teacher

  • One from a community leader

  • One from a member of a Divine Nine (D9) organization

 

4. Submit Your Application

​

All materials must be submitted by March 13, 2026, through one of the following methods:
